Four very large size books. We have vols 2 thru 5. We only saw one other comparable set online when we listed this, it was also a partial set of vols 1-4 (missing volume five) and they had the set for $750.
This set will cost us much more than the $4.50 we are charging you for shipping, to properly package and insure them….so consider part of the shipping cost worked into our price.
These volumes were printed by Gebble and Co., in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The bindings are in tact; the illustrations are very nice; the texts are clean throughout.
Two of the volumes are dated 1883 and two are dated 1884.
All the books have wear, some staining and soiling on the bindings, and one has some damage to the spine (which you can see in the photo).
There is light foxing in the volumes, but again, the text blocks are very nice, while the bindings are a bit worn and soiled.
Unique, and quite scarce!
