Fair condition, red hardcover with a spine that has faded to a more brownish color, and no dust jacket.  The cover has stains, scuffing, some tears, fraying, and crushed corners.  The internal binding is torn and loose, causing the cover to be partially detached from the pages.  Some pages have stains, but the text and illustrations throughout are clear and legible.  The front inside cover has tearing where some adhesive was removed.  The front flyleaf and back inside cover has writing in pencil and eraser marks.
