“Family History is a daily journal of the lives we lead.  It becomes a history, your history, as it is filled in.  The book begins with KEEPERS OF THE BOOK, which may be used as a record of who possessed the book and over what span of time.  Major contributors may also be included, whether caretakers or not.

“This is followed by a foreword, suggesting a brief narrative by a senior family member on ancestors and events preceding this record.

“Family History was designed to lead the writer by offering formats.  How these formats are used is a matter of style.  Entries may include a lengthy passage or just a single name and occasion; everything is by choice.  A guide appears at the beginning of each section.”

Like new condition, black, leather-bound book in a cream-colored slip-box.  Slip-box has some scuffing, tearing, sticker residue, and fading (it may have belonged to another book).  The book has no damage, and there are some minor pencil marks on one of the early pages.  Otherwise, it is clean, clear, and legible throughout…………………………………v4 Bx1167
