This softcover is actually the true first edition, published by Paolini International in Livingstone, Montana.

Spine appears to have been a pretty cheap glue job and it clearly came apart and was reinforced inside the front cover and has a lamination type tape on the spine, which goes about 2 inches onto the front cover and an inch on the back.

Text is clean; very slight smudges on page edges. Inscribed and signed by the author!
