Fair condition, dark red hardcovers with no dust jackets.  The covers have bent corners, scuff marks, stains, fading, some tears at the edges and corners (with some small pieces torn off), and fraying at the corners and edges.  The pages have yellowed throughout.  Some pages have small tears at their edges.  Some pages have corners torn off, but none of the text or illustrations are interfered with.  The flyleaves have writing in pencil and eraser marks.
