Fair condition, large, black hardcover with no dust jacket.  The cover has some white stains, scuffing, fading, small tears and fraying at the corners, and ex-library marks on the spine.  The inside covers and flyleaves have wrinkling, and pen marks.  The front inside cover has a large, ex-library sticker.  The front flyleaf and second flyleaf have writing in pencil and eraser marks.  The pages all have yellowing.  Some pages have stains or wrinkling.  The title page has notes written in pen and pencil, marks, and a few ink stamps.  Text and illustrations throughout are clear and legible.
