“Dear Sir:
“Our news is all _______.  Once in a while a big ___ like _____ ____ us a ____ ____; ___ the _____ ___ ___ ____ and ___ ____-wood are all with us.  So we fear nothing and _____ to nobody.
“I do not know what can be done about a cowboy paper in Kansas, but will ____ that ______ to the ______ Center.
“Yours, Horace ______
“Gen. ___ Larimer,
“Levenworth,
“Kansas.”

Fair-good condition letter written on New-York Tribune stationary, on three separate pieces of lined cardstock that had once been pasted together with adhesive, but over the years the adhesive has lost its stickiness, causing the top card to be separated from the bottom two, and the bottom most to be partially separated from the middle.  The ink has been slightly smudged.  The cards also have some yellowing, some stains, and the word “(over)” written small in pen, and covered in pencil marks, on the bottom margin of the letter.
