Fair condition hardcover with a black spine, and no dust jacket.  The cover has heavy scuffing, tears (mostly on the edge of the spine), scuffing, peeling, some pieces torn off, and some fraying.  Because of the tears next to the spine the boards of the cover are partially detached.  The internal binding is loose.  Some pages have stains, or yellowing, but the text and illustrations throughout are clear and legible.  The front flyleaf has writing in pencil and eraser marks.
