Fair condition, thick, brown, 3/4 leather hardcover with no dust jacket.  The front and back boards of the book have been torn free from the binding, but are still included.  The spine has some pieces torn off, and is torn.  The covers have scuffing, fading, some stains, small creases, tears peeling of the leather at the corners and edges, fraying, and scratches.  The binding is torn, and some pages have been mostly torn off, but are still partially attached.  One of the flyleaves has writing in pencil and some eraser marks.  Some flyleaves have stamps and ink that has carried over from said stamps.  Some pages have minor stains, but they do not interfere with the legibility of any of the text or illustrations.
