Both volumes have very worn covers. The first volume’s cover has bent corners, and a fair amount of staining. The first volume is signed by a previous owner in black ink on the first page. Many pages in the first volume are stained, creased, torn, or marked with pencil. The pages get less worn as you get farther into the book. The second volume is very worn around the exterior spine. The first page is marked with a library stamp. The back inside cover has some writing in black ink near the top. The pages are in good condition.
