The Mormon Connection to this book:

Tipped inside the book, after the copyright page, is a single sheet (2 page) Introductory by Emmeline B. Wells.  Then, after page 26 is a page with pictures of three Mormon women: Zina Diantha Huntington Young, A.D. 1821-1901, President of the National Woman’s Relief Society, and Eliza Roxie Snow, A.D. 1804-1887, Poet, Author, and Philanthropist, and Emmeline B. Wells, A.D., 1828, Editor, Author and Poet, General Secretary National Woman’s Relief Society. The next three pages are single page biographies on each of them.

The rest of the book is similar one-page biographies on Abassa, Abigail, Abigail Adams, Agnes and Anastasia, Agrippina, Louisa May Alcott….. etc etc….(tons of them).

Book condition:

Brown leather binding. Spine is all torn up and has clear tape on it holding it together. The text is clean and nice throughout, but there is some stamping inside the front cover. Corners are worn.
