1866 Book of Mormon ~ Red Leather ~ Full Presentation! ~ Rare & Beautiful!

$25,000.00

One of the rarest editions of the Book of Mormon. The only one published in the 1860s (other than the Deseret Alphabet edition of 1869).  The only edition published by Brigham Young Jr. Some suggest that this edition, and the 1842 Nauvoo edition, are two of the rarest, with less than 500 copies having been printed.

Translated by Joseph Smith Jr., Sixth European Edition, Stereotyped. Liverpool: Published by Brigham Young Jun., 42 Islington, London: Sold at the L. D. Saints’ Book Depot, Florence Street, Islington, and by all Booksellers. 1866.

Unusually nice, dripping in gold; it has the expected wear for a book this old, but overall in great condition. Upper right hand corner of the title page has a very tiny chip, but otherwise the title page is perfect! Gold leafed page edges. Original end sheets and free end sheets are all present; the text is clean throughout. 563 pages, and all in very condition; binding is solid.

Its hard to believe you could find another copy in this condition!

Book is on consignment and can be seen in person only by appointment.
