1876 — Book of Mormon — Salt Lake City Edition — Reddish-Brown Leather Binding

Deseret News Office, the Church Book Depot; Published by David O. Calder. 1876. One of the earliest editions of the Book of Mormon published in Salt Lake City, throughout the decade of the 1870s.

This book has some issues:

1. The text block is completely detached from the spine and boards.

2. There is damage to the binding, especially on the bottom of the spine and front cover (visible in the photograph). Also some damage (possibly insect damage) to the edges of the boards.

3. Pages 559 to 562 are all missing the bottom half of the pages.

4. Pages that come after 562 are missing.

Not a perfect copy, but copies with all pages can often be priced at double the price of this volume.
