2 fair-good condition hardcovers with no dust jackets.  The covers have small tears and fraying at the corners, which are slightly bent, and some patches of adhesive residue.  The 1982 edition has large notes taped to the inside covers, some faint stains on the front flyleaf, highlighting, marks and notes written in pen and pencil.  The front flyleaves of both books have writing in pencil.  The text of the 1989 edition has clean, clear, and legible.
