Fair condition, gray hardcover with no dust jacket.  The cover has heavy scuffing, fading, stains, some tears, fraying, and slightly crushed corners.  The internal binding is torn, causing the title page to be detached from the binding, and some following pages to be partially detached.  Some pages have small tears on their edges, and all the pages have yellowed.  The front flyleaf has writing in pencil and eraser marks.  Text and illustrations throughout are clear and legible.
