1892 — Life of John Taylor — by B. H. Roberts — Full Leather Binding with Great Designs on Cover

This is a first edition of the highest quality. There were cloth editions and leather editions; most of the leather editions are only 3/4 leather with a blue cloth on the boards.

There is some chipping of the leather at the top and bottom of the spine, and a little on each corner.

Some full leather copies have debossed or embossed design. This is one of those that was maxed out with gold design on the boards and spine.

Unfortunately there are a few loose pages and the binding is detached at the front hinge, but with a little tender loving care this one could be slightly repaired and be just as beautiful as it now is!

The text appears to be complete and also clean throughout; and as an added bonus the page edges are all gilded in nice glossy gold!

A great copy, in spite of the flaws.
