“This spectacular view from the top of Main St, depicts Salt Lake City in 1885, eight years before the completion of the ‘Great Temple.’  Overlooking the Wasatch Mountains, the scenes of an emerging city come to life where only decades before stood a desolate land. The early Saints carefully laid plans of a city surrounding the Temple are still in use today.”
