Fair condition, hardcover with a spine that has discolored to pale gray.  The binding is crooked.  The cover has discoloration, stains, scratches, scuffing, and fading, with some crushed corners, and small stains.  The front inside cover has writing in pen.  The front flyleaf has a signature and inscription written by Mormon Historian Leonard J. Arrington in pen!  The front flyleaf also has some unrelated writing in pencil and eraser marks. The title page has writing in pencil.  Some pages have small stains, or creased corners. but the text and illustrations throughout are clear and legible.  The internal binding is torn and slightly loose.  The back flyleaf has a long set of notes written in pen.
