Fair condition, blue hardcover with no dust jacket.  The cover has a long tear on the spine, scuffing, some fading, some slightly bent corners, and some small tears and fraying at the corners and edges.  The internal binding is torn.  The inside covers and flyleaves have fading.  The front flyleaf has some stamps.  The back inside cover has a stain.  The second flyleaf has stains, a lengthy inscription written in pen, some writing in pencil, and some eraser marks.  The edges of some pages have small tears, or scuff marks in the margins.  Text and illustrations throughout are clean, clear and legible.
