1773 — THE UNIVERSAL FAMILY BIBLE Or Christian’s Divine Library Containing the Sacred Text of the Old and New Testament with the Apocrypha at Large… / REBOUND

Huge heavy volume; we can’t see a date but there is an inscription from 1883 in the front; and this book was rebound ina somewhat cheesy binding with glittery lettering on the cover.

Someone clearly had it rebound at some point and put 1773 on the cover; but we don’t see that date on either title page. {There is a faded stamp on the title page that may have said 1750}.

This book also includes the apocrypha; wonderful copper engravings, etc…. Some pages are a bit stained or foxed, or slightly mildewed, but all pages will turn and look pretty good, for its age. The binding, while a bit strange, is holding the book together quite well; again, see our scans for the condition. Rare in any condition!

Some page corners have been damaged, as visible in our photo.

There is some information about the Bible that someone printed and inserted inside the front cover.
