The book is good, see our photo of the book, the folded paper, the two photographs. Nice provenance; nice book; great civil war package.
The Book is inscribed: “James Y. Grimes, Capt. 17th….”
One photograph states “James F. Grimes” on the back. The other one, the larger cabinet card doesn’t seem to identify who it is.
