1817? — Large Copper Cent — One Penny — 13 Stars — Matron or Coronet Large Head Penny

This large size early United States penny is in a little plastic case. We were told it is an 1817 dated coin, but we can’t make out any date.

We have pictured the front and back, so you can see how worn it is.
